19,000

Story continues. The second part of novel Countdown to Revelation (still a working title, haven't decided the final name yet) is in progress and total 19,000 words so far in the "paper". I am planning to include 5-7 parts to the novel but that's still to be decided.

In the meanwhile, please checkout each of the stories so far. Countdown to Revelation includes characters from each of the stories; End of an Era, Dawn to Dawn and Just Another Scout. There are also references to events in other stories just the like the three novelettes. You know what I mean after you've read the stories ;-)

No DRM

Smashwords founder Mark Coker wrote about DRM and why it is not good in the Smashwords blog.
I agree and please go checkout the Smashwords blog.

Here are five reason against DRM from the Smashwords blog .

1. Readers (who know about DRM) don't like DRM.
2. DRM adds expense to books.
3. DRM makes books complex.
4. DRM limits accessibility to books, especially for those with vision disabilities who require Text-to-Speach (TTS).
5. DRM doesn't prevent piracy.

I'd known all but the fourth reason but it is also obvious. Since all Smashwords titles are DRM free, TTS are enabled and for example Amazon Kindle includes text-to-speech function (which is fun to hear, especially poetry, for example Alfred Lord Tennyson's The Charge of the Light Brigade, TTS enabled for Amazon Kindle :-).

Galaxy, Android and Kobo

I had a chance to look at Samsung Galaxy Tab, Android based tablet computer. It has an application called Readers Hub and it's powered by Kobo. Great channel to read ebooks with a very nice device :-)

Unfortunately, only Just Another Scout is currently available at Kobo. But stay tuned, other stories will be shipped shortly and hopefully they are available in couple of weeks or so.
